MEETING NOTIFICATIONS
Local Council/69 Meeting
There will be a Local Council/69/BOS Meeting:
Wednesday, OCTOBER 12, 2005

Agenda for this meeting is still being formulated. One of the items on the agenda will be AWA's Agenda proposal of modification to the AFA Constitution and By-Laws, Date of Hire language.
Details and additional agenda items will be provided at a later date.
USAIRWAYS MEC MEETING
The MEC Meeting will be held on October 4, 5, 6 at the MEC Office, 200 Marshall Drive, Coraopolis, PA.
AFA-CWA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The BOD Meeting will be held on October 18 -21, Palm Springs, California.
Hotel Changes - October 1, 2005
Perry Lopez/MEC Crew Accommodations Chair notified and copied the MEC on a list of properties over the weekend that will be changing on October 1, 2005. AFA and ALPA MEC Chairs were notified of these changes via e-mail. Selection of these properties was done without the involvement of AFA or ALPA. After discussions between Ed Bular/ USAirways /VP Flight Operations, AWA Representatives and Jack Pawlik/Manager Travel Services Purchasing, Ed Bular accepted these changes. These properties are used by America West.
The following markets are:

DEN/long
LAX/short
ORD/long
PHX/long
SAN/short
Names of these properties cannot be listed in this venue for security reasons. The list will be posted in the BOS crew room AFA Board. The MEC is against the manner by which these properties were selected as well as the properties chosen. The MECP is currently investigating these changes with the company as well as AFA MEC Grievance and our AFA Staff Attorney.
