PIT F/AS TDY TO BOS FOR
APRIL
Boston flight attendants, most notably reserves will be
getting some relief for the month of April as the company has
decided to TDY 15 PIT flight attendants to Boston.
Reserves: Please not - SEC 11-23 5. a. - As an exception to
Section 16 (Seniority), a reserve serving temporary duty will be
processed in LTO after the domiciled reserves are processed in
LTO. Those reserves serving temporary duty will be quick called as
follows; volunteers in seniority order and assignments in inverse
seniority order.
Please keep in mind that once a pairing has been assigned
positions are chosen based on system seniority. Please review SEC
9-33/34 M.2. Position Selection
Example: 2 BOS reserves - seniority 1998 are
assigned/awarded a 3/day trip - 1 PIT TDY reserve seniority 1987
assigned/awarded the same 3/day trip - SEC 11-23 5 a. applied for
assignment/award - the PIT TDY reserve has first choice of
positions due to having the higher system seniority.
Example: 2 BOS line holders - seniority 1988 pick up a trip
off the AIL and 1 PIT TDY reserve seniority 1987 is assigned the
same trip - the PIT TDY reserve has first choice of positions due
to having the higher system seniority.
