  • TDY FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

Dear Members,

TDY FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

As you know BOS will have Temporary Duty (TDY) Flight Attendants from PIT for the month of February. Please review the below regarding a Quick call -

Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY)

Temporary duty vacancies will first be offered to reserves in seniority order, as we do today. In the event of insufficient bidders, temporary duty may be assigned in inverse seniority order. Once the reserves arrive at the temporary base, they will be placed below the reserves residing in the base and will be processed in time balancing order within their group after all reserves residing in the domicile have been awarded trips. The temporary duty reserves will be called in inverse seniority order for quick call assignments unless there are reserve volunteers from the domicile.

In other words, if you wish to receive a quick call, you must contact crew scheduling to advise of such.

If a trip is awarded/assigned to (3) reserve flight attendants - (2) in domicile and (1) TDY flight attendant - position selection on the pairing is decided by seniority among the (3) flight attendants. If the TDY flight attendant is the most senior, this flight attendant is first to decide his/her position on the pairing.

Also please review SEC 9 Scheduling M - line 34- A flight attendant awarded a pairing from SAP, secondary lines, augmentation, trip trades, ETB or the AIL shall be considered a placeholder and position determination shall be based on seniority among the flight attendants originating the trip.

Due to the base closure in PIT you may find that the PIT TDY flight attendants are more senior to any BOS reserve as well as primary and secondary line holders.
